| Service Technician 2 Full-Time Positions Available POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing residential and commercial propane and natural gas related equipment. The Service Technician will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the service and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Install and service residential and commercial propane and natural gas related equipment. This will include: a) Repairs, dispenser inspections and re-qualifying cylinders, the installation and service of propane tanks and propane and natural gas appliances. b) Preventative maintenance solutions, and scheduled maintenance, to residential customers. 2. Safe operation of all equipment and vehicles 3. Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. 4. Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations. 5. Other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS: • Provincial Gas Fitter certification as required, including record of training • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience • Sound technical knowledge of propane appliances, equipment and plant operations • WHMIS and TDG training and certification • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with three (3) years experience and a clean driver’s abstract • Valid Class 3 driver’s license with Air Brake Ticket would be an asset • Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis • Good customer service skills • Good communications skills • Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically the on-board truck computers Superior Propane provides a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits program and a company matching pension plan.
